Project Overview

OfficeSupply.com sought to improve its subscription page to boost customer engagement and increase subscription sign-ups. The project aimed to design a more effective subscription page that clearly communicated benefits, simplified the sign-up process, and drove higher conversion rates.

  • Low Subscription Conversion Rates: The previous subscription page was not effectively converting visitors, with unclear messaging.
  • Lack of Visual Appeal: The page’s design lacked visual hierarchy and did not make a compelling case for subscribing, leading to limited user engagement.

  • Create a visually appealing layout that aligns with OfficeSupply.com’s brand identity and increases the likelihood of conversion.

Research and Discovery

User and Market Research
  • User Behavior Analysis: Analyzed user behavior on the existing subscription page to understand where users were dropping off and identify pain points in the sign-up process.
  • Competitive Analysis: Examined the subscription pages of similar e-commerce platforms to identify effective design and messaging practices for converting visitors into subscribers.

  • Need for Clarity: Users wanted to see clear, concise benefits of subscribing, such as exclusive discounts, early access to sales, and personalized recommendations.
  • Visual Hierarchy and Trust Symbols: Users preferred pages that provided visual structure, emphasizing key benefits first and using trust symbols like customer testimonials to increase credibility.

Design Process

Ideation and Solution Development

Using insights from the research phase, I brainstormed solutions focused on a clear, benefit-driven layout that would simplify the user journey:

  • Highlighting Key Benefits: Decided to position the most important benefits at the top of the page, supported by concise, engaging copy.
  • Visual Appeal: Developed a cohesive design that aligned with OfficeSupply.com’s branding, including trust elements such as secure transaction icons and testimonials.
Wireframing and Prototyping
  • High-Fidelity Prototypes: Developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to bring the design to life with final UI elements, such as brand colors, icons, and typography.

Key Features of the Final Design

  • Clear Value Proposition Section: Positioned at the top of the page, this section features bullet points that outline the main benefits of subscribing, using icons and visuals to enhance readability.
  • Visual Hierarchy: Key benefits, testimonials, and the CTA are arranged in a logical hierarchy that draws the user’s attention and guides them seamlessly toward the sign-up button.
  • Trust-Building Elements: Customer testimonials and secure transaction icons add credibility and reassure users, increasing the likelihood of subscription.

Results and Metrics

The redesigned subscription page hopefully led to significant improvements in user engagement and conversions:
